TRINIDAD cigar store opened its doors at the city's Pavilion shopping mall recently and the most eye-catching decor that a tobacco lover will notice is a poster of former Cuban leader Fidel Castro puffing his favourite cigar.
Launched by Cuban ambassador Carlos A Amores to coincide with Cuba's national day, the company's managing director Naresh Mohan said cigars were often associated with the finer things in life. They are a symbol of success and represent the Cuban identity.
The store that stocks more than 25 brands features some of the most well known cigar labels in the world such as Habanos SA, Cohiba, Romeo & Julieta and the Montecristo cigars.
The tobacco outlet also retails brands like Nat Sherman from New York, Monsenor from Co-lumbia and Dunhill cigars made in Nicaragua. It also has a range of cigar accessories such as ash trays, leather case humidors, torch lighters and cigar cutters.
